What We Built
This 5.5m x 3.6m garden gym in Nottingham was built as a dedicated home fitness space, finished with striking cedar cladding to the front elevation and anthracite composite to the sides and rear. The combination of natural cedar and modern composite creates a bold, contemporary look that complements the garden setting.
Inside, the gym features professional-grade rubber matting throughout – ideal for free weights, machines and high-intensity training. The dark teal feature walls paired with recessed LED spotlights create a focused, motivating atmosphere. French doors and full-height windows flood the space with natural light, while a wall-mounted panel heater ensures year-round comfort.
The building is fully insulated to our standard specification with 100mm Rockwool insulation in the walls, floor and roof, keeping it warm in winter and cool in summer. Full electrics include consumer unit, multiple sockets, LED spotlights and exterior wall lights. Ground screw foundations were installed to provide a solid, level base.

How we approached this project
The site required careful positioning to maximise natural light through the French doors while leaving sufficient garden space. The rubber gym matting needed a perfectly level subfloor to ensure a seamless, professional finish suitable for heavy equipment.
