Long Meadow Pet Resort – Bespoke Reception Building

Designed and built as the new arrivals reception for Long Meadow Pet Resort, this bespoke commercial garden building gives the resort a polished, welcoming front-of-house space that matches the premium standard of care they offer their guests.

The exterior is wrapped in low-maintenance wood-effect composite cladding for a refined, weather-proof finish that will look brand new for years. A full-width cedar-clad canopy runs across the front and side of the building, supported by cedar-wrapped structural posts and finished underneath with warm-toned cedar boards and recessed downlights — creating a dramatic covered walkway and outdoor waiting area for clients and their dogs. Underfoot, a composite deck wraps the building to keep the entrance clean and step-free in all weathers.

A set of 4m aluminium bifold doors open the reception fully to the outside, with additional full-height glazing flooding the interior with natural light. Inside, the space has been fitted out with oak-effect laminate flooring, a fully plastered and decorated finish, recessed LED spotlights, a kitchen with sink and worktop for staff use, and a separate WC with sink — everything needed to run a busy reception day-to-day.
